Most people are happy to take on a sponsored walk or run for a cause close to their hearts, but a team leader from our Skinningrove site wanted to go the extra mile for our Community Partner the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
Miles Parker’s Screwball Rally journey with partner Michelle Wood in September will take him more than 1,700 miles and through four different countries, and he’ll do this in a car worth less than £750.
Miles was recently awarded one of our £200 Community Champion awards for his epic journey in support of the GNAAS.
“It seems like a really fun thing to do and it will really test my skills driving abroad to the limit,” said Miles.
“It is also raising money for an extremely worthy cause. Hopefully the car won’t breakdown as I’m not looking forward to finding our way back without it but I’m sure the camaraderie will get us through.”
