Over 450 people attended British Steel’s recruitment event on Saturday (17 May) as it looks to build the next generation of steelworkers.
The company is advertising more than 180 roles across the business as it prepares to up production and there are opportunities in a range of areas including engineering, welding, nursing, HR, cleaning, and customer services.
Interim Chief Executive Officer, Allan Bell, said: “We are extremely grateful for everyone who attended and showed such interest in joining our business. It was an incredible turnout which reinforces our confidence in the future of our business.
