New British Steel cranes will enhance operations at Immingham Bulk Terminal

Three new cranes British Steel is having built for Immingham Bulk Terminal are quickly taking shape.

Our new unloaders – Ardelt Tukan K 3000s – will replace the existing cranes that have been operating at our port facility since the 1970s.

The cranes are being made by Kocks Ardelt Kranbau and will use the latest technical advances in dig depth optimisation – a system designed by Ardelt engineers to ensure continuous peak performance and eliminate inefficiencies during the duty cycle.

They also have an electrical regeneration feature, so use less electricity and have a semi-automatic mode that will increase efficiency.
