Rail reveals premium range to German market

Our Rail team exhibited under the British Steel brand at IAF 2017 for the first time at the end of May to show how we can offer solutions tailored to address a variety of common rail challenges.

The event, which takes place every 4 years in Münster, Germany, was the 27th international exhibition for track technology.

Rail Account Manager for Europe, Elisabeth Bremski, said: “As a global event, IAF is a great place to demonstrate how we can help our customers enhance their rail performance in high speed, heavy duty, mixed traffic, metro and tramway networks.

“It was also the perfect opportunity to introduce our new Rail Business Development Manager in Germany, Virginia Martin Pelegrina, to the industry.”

The extended Rail team from across the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland, highlighted our range of premium rail products, designed to address some of the key issues in today’s rail industry:

  • Wear and foot fatigue - our ‘stress-free’ heat-treated rail range has exceptional resistance to wear with the lowest residual stress available for reduced foot fatigue, thus increasing life in track.
  •  Maintenance and repair times in urban systems - our advanced Multi-Life grooved rail range has increased wear-resistance, and being weld-restorable in track, ML grades offer multiple rail lives.
  • Corrosion - for corrosive rail environments like coastal track, wet tunnels, level crossings and stray current environments, Zinoco®, our award-winning durable rail corrosion protection system, ensures maximum rail life.

Sales Lead Hubert Dabas said: “The event allowed us to not only promote the British Steel brand, but also to engage and connect with lots of different business sector professionals in a short period of time.

“It was great to meet customers from right across the globe, and we’d like to thank the attendees who took time to visit our stand.”
