Commemorative ceremony to mark Platinum Jubilee

To mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, the gate installed to commemorate the Royal visit to the Scunthorpe site in 1958 has been refurbished.

Today CEO Xifeng Han held a small opening ceremony to thank everyone who had been involved. He said: “I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been involved in this work.

“I know many of you went out of your way to make this happen and it is clear that you have taken a great amount of care in your efforts. Without doubt, the gate and the surrounding area have been transformed.

“They are most certainly a fitting tribute to the remarkable milestone of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and I truly hope you are as proud of the results as I am.”
