British Steel showcasing mining sector products at Hoist and Haul

We are delighted to be joining an international stage to showcase our products for the mining sector at the 9th Hoist and Haul Conference on Mine Hoisting and Haulage being held in Montreal, Canada next week.

Our delegation will be demonstrating the benefit of our top hats, including speedy installation, improved mine efficiencies and lifespan.

The conference, organised and hosted by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, is being held from August 14-16.

British Steel Commercial Director David Waine said: “This is an excellent opportunity to present the value and quality of our products to an international audience, including representatives of leading companies, customers, mining experts and colleagues across the globe.”

The event, generally held every five years but which has not taken place since 2015 due to the Covid pandemic, will host technical sessions focusing on the latest state-of-the-art developments and technologies in the shaft hoisting and transportation component of personnel and material.

The conference includes more than 30 peer reviewed papers presented over three days, keynote speakers and 15 exhibitors. Experts present will include those from academia, industry professionals, mine operators, equipment manufacturers and government regulators.
