British Steel showcasing at Hull's Women in Manufacturing and Engineering event on 11 March

British Steel will be attending an event aimed at encouraging women to choose a career in the manufacturing and engineering industry.

Women into Manufacturing and Engineering (WIME) is being held at the Guildhall in Hull on Saturday 11 March from 10.30am and 3.30pm.

The event is being organised by Green Port Hull as part of Hull UK City of Culture’s WOW – Women of the World festival.

British Steel has a wide range of opportunities for women wishing to join the manufacturing and engineering sector. Come along to the event:

  • Meet our female engineers and talk to them about their work and what it’s like to work at British Steel
  • Find out about current job vacancies
  • Discover what training and qualifications you may need
  • Learn about our trainee opportunities
  • Have a go - practical demonstrations, personal protective equipment for you to try
