Back on track at Rail Live

This week, our Rail team has been promoting our rail products and technical services at Rail Live 2021.

Rail Live, held at Quinton Rail Technology Centre, is the UK’s only dedicated rail business event in a real railway environment and normally takes place annually. But with the cancellation of last year’s event, the organisers of Rail Live worked especially hard to make sure this year’s event, was a great success.

As the first in-person rail event to take place in the UK since going into lockdown, it created the ideal opportunity for the industry to reconnect, reset and start to rebuild.

Karen Spencer, Marketing Communications Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to get back out and see our rail customers, albeit at a COVID-19 compliant distance.

“Last year, to combat the lack of opportunities to showcase our products and services, our Rail Technologies team launched a series of #TechnologyTuesdays webinars. These were really well-received and addressed some of the hot topics facing the rail industry, but there’s nothing like being face-to-face with real-life demos to demonstrate our capabilities.”

The sun shone down on one of the hottest days of the year as the team discussed how our innovative Zinoco® coated rail helps tackle the common industry issue of corrosion in aggressive environments.

Karen said: “We know there have been some questions about its ease of use in-track, so we ran a series of demonstrations of coating removal and reinstatement to show just how straightforward the process is.

“We also highlighted some of our rail technical services, designed to help improve operational efficiency and network integrity on all types of networks.”
