We look for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our varied and diverse teams across the Scunthorpe site.
For our shift-based roles (including weekend working), you’ll need to be aged 18 years or over in order to satisfy the necessary legal requirements.
You must have achieved either GCSE maths and English language to a minimum of grade C or Functional Skills level 2 in English and maths with a good all-round education.
This is a fantastic programme for individuals who want to work within the steel industry gaining relevant training and experience to meet individual and business needs.
The salary in Year 1 is £19,000 plus shift allowance (where applicable), progressing to circa £22,000 plus shift allowance (where applicable) in Year 2 upon successful completion of your training programme.
You’ll be part of a cohort of trainees who will receive 5 weeks comprehensive training off-the-job before being allocated to a plant to continue your learning. This will help you develop your manufacturing knowledge and personal skills.
As a business, health and safety is our number 1 priority. You’ll receive a significant amount of training in this area, ensuring you have the highest level of knowledge to maintain a safe working environment.
